I melted a bag of (vegan) marshmallows with 3 tablespoons of baking spread and vanilla essence. I then added in the rice krispy cereal and green food dye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I shaped the trees using a cake slice mold:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"919\" height=\"919\" src=\"https:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GridArt_20231213_180648522.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-625\" srcset=\"http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GridArt_20231213_180648522.jpg 919w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GridArt_20231213_180648522-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GridArt_20231213_180648522-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GridArt_20231213_180648522-768x768.jpg 768w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/GridArt_20231213_180648522-100x100.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The last thing I made was the peppermint bark which again was not based on a recipe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"285\" height=\"215\" src=\"https:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231215_172127522.PORTRAIT.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-626\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.3255813953488371;width:674px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To make the bark, I used 300g of dark chocolate, 300g of white chocolate, oreo crumbs and peppermint candy canes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Melted the dark chocolate &amp; spread out on a lined baking tray after adding a few drops of peppermint essence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>added the oreo crumbs &amp; allowed to set for 10 minutes in the fridge<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Melted the white chocoalte &amp; spread on top of the base<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crushed candy canes and sprinked them on top of the chocolate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allowed to set in fridge then broke into pieces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"771\" src=\"https:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231215_171912926.PORTRAIT-1024x771.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-627\" srcset=\"http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231215_171912926.PORTRAIT-1024x771.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231215_171912926.PORTRAIT-300x226.jpg 300w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231215_171912926.PORTRAIT-768x578.jpg 768w, http:\/\/kayleighbaking.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/PXL_20231215_171912926.PORTRAIT.jpg 1221w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 767px) 89vw, (max-width: 1000px) 54vw, (max-width: 1071px) 543px, 580px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It&#8217;s that time of year when I feel festive and want to bake treats to gift to friends.
